How Do I Add A Code To My Bosch Alarm?

If you’ve got a Bosch alarm, everyone at your home or business is possibly sharing the same code .

And that’s perfectly fine but sometimes it can be beneficial for everyone to have their own code.

It’s easy to add one or more user codes or remote controls to your Bosch Solution Alarm System

The procedure is similar for both.

This article will show you how to add and delete user codes and remote controls from all the popular Bosch control panels.

Here are the steps to add a new user code to Bosch Solution 2000, 3000, Ultima, 844 or 880 Panels:

1 – Enter your 4 digit Master Code
2 – Press [ 1 ] then [ AWAY ]
3 – Press [ 2 ] then [ AWAY ]
4 – Enter a new 4 digit code
5 – Press [ AWAY ]

That’s it!

You’ve just added a new code – user 2 – to your system.

This will work with all Bosch Solution control panels except the Bosch Solution 6000. Scroll down to see how to do that.

Want to add a third code?

1 – Enter your 4 digit Master code
2 – Press [ 1 ] then [ AWAY ]
3 – Press [ 3 ] then [ AWAY ]
4 – Enter a new 4 digit code for user 3
5 – Press [ AWAY ]

How about a forth code – User 4:

1 – Enter your 4 digit Master Code
2 – Press [ 1 ] then [ AWAY ]
3 – Press [ 4 ] then [ AWAY ]
4 – Enter a new 4 digit code for user 4
5 – Press [ AWAY ]

Deleting User Codes From Bosch Solution 2000, 3000, Ultima, 844 or 880 Control Panels

1 – Enter your 4 digit Master Code
2 – Press [ 1 ] then [ AWAY ]
3 – Enter the user number you want to delete. Press [ AWAY ]
4 – Press [ * ] to delete the code

As an example, to delete user 3, here is the sequence (assuming Master Code is 2 5 8 0)

[ 2 ] [ 5 ] [ 8 ] [ 0 ] [ 1 ] [AWAY] [ 3 ] [ AWAY ] [ * ]

Adding Remote Controls to Bosch Solution 844, 880 and Ultima Panels

(Instructions for Solution 3000 and 6000 below)

1 – Enter your 4 digit master code
2 – Press [ 1 ]
3 – Press [ AWAY ]
4 – Enter the User Number you want to add. The User Number must be between 9 – 16.
5 – Enter the nine digit number embossed onto the back of the remote controlled
6 – Press the [ AWAY ] button
7 – Test the remote control to make sure it works.

As an example: If I wanted to program a remote control and my master code was 2 5 8 0, and the 9 digit number on my remote was 98705578, here s the sequence I would enter on the codepad:

Note: You must have the Bosch radio receiver installed in your alarm panel for remote controls to work. If you already have one or more remote controls, or at least one wireless motion sensor, you’ll have a Bosch receiver.

Deleting Remote Controls to Bosch Solution 844, 880 and Ultima Panels


1 – Enter your Master Code
2 – Press [ 0 ] then [ AWAY ]
3 – Enter the User Number of the remote control you want to delete, then [ AWAY ]
4 – Press [ * ] to delete the remote control..

As an example, to delete the remote control for user 11, here is the sequence (assuming Master Code is 2 5 8 0)

[ 2 ] [ 5 ] [ 8 ] [ 0 ] [ 0 ] [ AWAY ] [1 ] [ 1 ] [ AWAY ], [ * ]

Adding Remote Control Keyfobs to a Bosch Solution 3000


1 – Enter your 4 digit Master Code
2 – Press [ 1 ] then [ AWAY ]
3 – Enter the 3 digit Remote Control User Slot where the remote will be stored in the panel
(301 for remote control for user 1, 302 for remote control user 2, 332 for the remote control for user
4 – Press AWAY
5 – Enter the 9 digit number embossed on the back of the remote, then press [ AWAY ]
6 – Press [ AWAY ] to store the setting.

As an example: If I wanted to program a remote control for user 5 and my master code was 2 5 8 0, and the 9 digit number on my remote was 98702311, here is the sequence I would enter on the codepad:

1 – Enter your 4 digit Master Code
2 – Press [ 1 ] then [ AWAY ]
3 – Enter the 3 digit user slot for the remote you want to delete ( possible entries 301 – 332)
4 – Press [ * ] to delete the remote control.

Record Keeping


If you are going add several codes, keep a written record of them. That way, if you ever need to delete a code, you’ll know where to start. For example if George no longer needed a code because he left the business, by checking our records, we know we need to delete User 3

How Do I Add a User Code to a Bosch Solution 6000


1 – Enter your Master code followed by [ MENU ]
2 – Press [ 1 ] [ 1 ] [ 2 ]. The screen will display the next spare user code slot at the top of the screen
For example if you already have 2 codes programmed into your system, the next available user ‘code slot’ is User 3.
The screen will display: “Ur 3 Users Name”
Press [ OK ]
3 – Enter a 4 digit code for User 3
4 – Press [ OK ]

The screen will go back to display the next available user code slot.If you want to add another code, press [ OK ] and repeat the procedure from Step 3

When you’re finished adding new user codes, press and hold the [ MENU ] button until you see this message:

Configuring…..Please Wait.
Wait til the message disappears, then test the new code

Adding a Name


1 – Enter your Master code followed by [ MENU ]
2 – Press [ 1] [ 4 ] [ 0 ]. A list of User Names will appear
3 – Scroll up and down the list using the up and down arrows. Highlight the user name that you want to change and select it by pressing [ OK ]
4 – Press the [ OFF ] button to clear the text. Use the Up and Down arrows to scroll through the available letters and other characters.
When you’ve found the letter you need, press the Right Arrow to move to cursor to the right, then find the next letter using the Up and Down arrow.
When you’ve added the name press [ OK ] to save.
5 – Press and hold [ MENU ] to exit programming mode

How Do I Delete a User Code on a Bosch Solution 6000


1 – Enter your Master code followed by [ MENU ]

2 – Press [ 1 ] [ 1 ] [ 3 ]. The screen will display a list of all the users that can be deleted

3 – Use the [ UP ] and [ DOWN ] arrows to find the user you want to delete from the system

4 – Press [OK ] to select the user

5 – Press [ OK ] again to delete the user

6 – Press and hold [ MENU ] to exit programming mode.

How Do I Add a Remote Control to a Bosch Solution 6000


1 – Enter your[ Master code ] followed by [ MENU ] [ 1 ] [ 3 ] [ 0 ]

The screen will display a list of users.

2 – Use the [ UP ] and [ DOWN ] arrows to find the user you want to assign a remote control to. Create a new user using the How Do I Add a user code to a Bosch Solution 6000 procedure above.

3 – Press [OK ]. The screen will ask you to type in the 9 digit RF ID code that’s embossed on the back of the remote control.

4 – Press [ OK ]

5 – Press and hold the [ MENU ] button until you see this message:
Configuring…..Please Wait.

Wait til the message disappears, then test the remote control

How Do I Delete a Remote Control to a Bosch Solution 6000


1 – Enter your Master code followed by [ MENU ]

2 – Press [ 1 ] [ 3 ] [ 1 ]. The screen will display a list of all the users with remote controls that can be deleted.

3 – Use the [ UP ] and [ DOWN ] arrows to find the one you want to delete from the system.

4 – Press [OK ] to select the user

5 – Press [ OK ] again to delete the RF ID number for this use


6 – Press and hold [ MENU ] to exit programming mode.
